Mumbai: A major fire broke out in a chemical godown in Dapoda village, Bhiwandi on Sunday morning. No one injured in incident but the entire unit was gutted. Being Sunday, no employee was present in the godown during the time of the incident. The locals alerted to fire brigade about the incident.
The fire officials said that the blaze erupted at around 7.30 am inside the premises of Vedant Global Warehouse situated in Paras Compound area in Bhiwandi. Around 150 drums of hydrogen peroxide were kept in the godown.
The Bhiwandi fire control room received a call at around 8.00 am after which the fire personnel formed a team and rushed to spot, said fire officer.
