Maharashtra Minister Vijay Wadettiwar on Thursday (June 3) announced that the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions will be completely lifted in 18 of the 36 districts from tomorrow (Friday, June 4).
Wadettiwar said the Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray-led Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government has prepeared a 5-level unlock plan on the basis of positivity rate and status of occupancy of oxygen beds in the districts.
In a relief, the restrictions have been completely pulled up from number of attendees attending public function or wedding ceremonies, etc. As per the new guidelines, the districts where the COVID-19 positivity rate is 5 per cent and oxygen availability is within 25 percent, lockdown will be completely eased from tomowrrow.
In 18 districts - Thane, Aurangabad, Latur, Nanded, Jalna, Parbhani, Buldhana, Nashik, Jalgaon, Dhule, Nagpur, Bhandara, Gadchiroli, Chandrapur, Gondia, Wardha, Washim and Yavatmal - there will be no limitation on the number of attendees for public events, wedding ceremonies.
Besides, gyms, salons, gardens, walking tracks, restaurants, malls, and theaters have been allowed to open. Moreover, buses can operate with 100 per cent capacity and inter-district travel has also been allowed.
