In a shocking incident, a 49-year-old man allegedly killed his 38-year-old wife in a fit of rage after she refused to prepare tea and snacks for him in Kolhapur, Maharashtra.
According to DNA, the accused has been identified as Ramesh Gaikwad. The incident took place on Saturday evening at Kurundwad village in Shirol tehsil, Kolhapur. The couple used to quarrel over petty issues, which took a turn for worse when he asked his wife Mangal to make some snacks for him as he was on fast, and later tea in the evening.
His wife refused to prepare tea and argued with her husband. After a quarrel and refusing to prepare tea, snacks, Mangal left the house with her luggage for her parent’s house. She was waiting at the bus stop when Ramesh reached there and asked her to return. An official told the leading daily, “However, Mangal abused Gaikwad who flew into a rage and strangled her using a nylon rope.” After the incident, he informed his family member and went straight to Kurundwad police station. The cops have booked and arrested Ramesh Gaikwad under section 302 (Punishment for murder) of the IPC.
