Mumbai : Estimated two lakh students from 36 districts of the state had appeared for the MH CET 2015 entrance test for the admission of medical science course (MBBS) on Thursday. Officials unconfirmed that there was no error in question paper and overall examination was peaceful across the state.
Director of Medical Education and Research had conducted the MH CET 2015 at odd 506 centers across the state. Admission for MBBS course in all government medical colleges is given on the basic of CET merit list. Besides, government medical colleges, even private medical colleges will also use MH CET merit list for the admission of medical course from the academic year 2015-16 onwards. Eight private medical colleges have 870 seats in the state.
Director Medical Education Dr Pravin H Shingare said, “Out of total 1,94,487 students only 300 students could not appear for exam. Overall, the examination was held peacefully.”
According to officials, there are total 4,420 seats for medical course in government and well as in private medical colleges across the state.
