In an attempt to help students prepare for the Class 10 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Class 12 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) board examinations, the state School Education Department has started online counselling and guidance.

Students can check the livestreaming of lectures by expert teachers on the YouTube channel of Maharashtra State Council of Educational Research and Training (MSCERT). Varsha Gaikwad, state school education minister, said, "We have started YouTube live sessions to address doubts and provide academic

guidance in all subjects for Class 10 and Class 12 students. Students can ask questions to the experts by e-mail to the number given on the screen during this session."

In every guidance session, MSCERT will provide e-mail IDs, where students can send in their queries, which will then be answered by the experts. Also, contact numbers of few experts in the area will be flashed on the screen during each session. Teachers said this initiative has been implemented to help students who are unable to discuss issues face to face, as offline lectures for Class 10 and Class 12 are still shut in Mumbai.
