Mumbai : Maharashtra Left Democratic Samiti (MLDS), an alliance of the Peasants and Workers Party (PWP), left parties CPI and CPM, Janata Dal (Secular) and RPI (Shyam Gaikwad) and RPI (Rajaram Kharat), released the preliminary list of 14 candidates here on Thursday.
“People in the state are against the ruling Congress-NCP government. They are also disillusioned by the BJP-led NDA’s 100-day rule at the Centre. Hence, the left front will yet again play its role to provide an alternative,” Dr. Ashok Dhavle, state secretary of the CPI, said at a press conference here.
