Aurangabad : A woman, who attempted self immolation in the district and sessions court of Latur on Thursday, succumbed to burn injuries in the evening on the same day.
As reported earlier, Rahibai Dnyanoba Surwase (58, Dhanegaon in Latur tehsil), had sustained 98 percent burns after she attempted self immolation on the 3rd floor of the court on Thursday morning.
She was admitted to the civil hospital of the town, where she breathed her last around at 4.30 pm. She was allegedly fed up with the prolonged dispute with her nephew over farm, which was in the court since 2001. Unable to wait anymore, she doused herself with kerosene and set her ablaze. The incident has triggered sensation in Latur.
