Mumbai: A day after depositing Rs 2,000 in farmers’ bank accounts under the central goverment’s Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, in some cases, it has been revealed that the amount has been withdrawn from the account without a reason being assigned. In one such case in Walunj, Ahmednagar district, Rs 2,000 was deposited in the bank accounts of Mininath Nimse on February 24 and was immediately withdrawn from his account.
“I am living in Pune, but my younger brother had submitted the necessary documents to avail the benefit of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi,” Nimse told The Free Press Journal. He added that he received a message on his mobile that Rs 2,000 had been credited to his account.
“As my account is with the State Bank of India, Ahmednagar branch, I obtained a mini-statement from the ATM. It shows the amount is credited in my account and debited from the account at the same time,” said Nimse. Comrade Dr Ajit Nawale, general secretary of the All India Kisan Sabha claimed, Nimse is not the only one, but, such more cases have been found in Nanded district.
