Mumbai : A 25-year-old man stabbed a 21-year-old girl four times and then himself because she used to reject his advances from the past one year. On Monday night, the accused entered the victim’s house at Yadav Nagar in Jogeshwari and brutally stabbed her, police said. The accused then immediately stabbed himself. Both of them were rushed to Cooper hospital where doctors admitted them.
The police have registered a case of attempt to murder and trespassing against the accused, Ashish Yadav.
Yadav hails from Jaunpur, and he and the victim are under medical treatment. The police not yet noted taken their statement, as they are not in a position to speak.
“The accused will be arrested once he gets discharged from the hospital,” said Ramesh Khadtare, senior police inspector of Amboli police station.
