Mumbai : On the occasion of International Women's Day, the BMC has announced a 25 per cent discount on fees for women at its four functional swimming pools. The scheme will be launched by activating the online link at 11 am on Wednesday (March 8).

The civic swimming pool has sessions reserved for women from 11 am to 12 pm and 5 pm to 6 pm. Still, there is very low response from women, so the BMC has decided to encourage them with offering concession in fees. The discount scheme will be also available for the women who already have membership.
Accordingly, the annual fee for large swimming pools will be Rs 7,700 which is Rs 10,100 for a year. While the annual fee for small swimming pools will be Rs 6,080 instead of Rs 8,000. The concessional rate will also be available in quarterly and monthly membership fees.

The women members can apply to the manager of the swimming pool to get their membership period extended and the fee adjusted. Also to get register for the scheme, citizens can visit the website
https://swimmingpool.the mcgm.gov.in. Earlier, the civic authority introduced online membership at its four swimming pools since August 23. The BMC has also begun offering daily, monthly and quarterly memberships instead of the earlier annual membership for all of its swimming pools from January.
