I-T official unearth Rs 10 crore uncounted money from Bank of Maharashtra

Pune: Income Tax has unearth nearly Rs 10 crore of uncounted money from the locker of Bank Of Maharashtra in Pune. The search operation is still on.

The Authorities are probing of bank official in the illegal of black money and till now IT official have opened five lockers at Parvati branch of Bank of Maharashta. The owner of the lockers are being tracked by Income Tax official.

Since Prime Minster Narendra Modi has announcement of demonetisation on November 8, the Income tax authorities raided banks throughout the country, and, have seized crores of rupees.

The income tax department has also sought cooperation from the bank authorities to obtain transaction information. The government has expanded their scope of investigation beyond tax evasion by including Police, Crime Bureau investigation (CBI) and Enforcement Directorate (ED) to lookout for money laundering.
