Mumbai: Shiv Sena party has since December 6, 1992 claimed they are true Hindutva party, which their founder, Bal Thackeray always claimed. In fact prior to the recently held Lok Sabha elections, Sena had assured the people they will construct Ram Temple in Ayodhya, which they claim resonated with the voters.
Now again, Sena has put a dangling sword on the heads of their alliance partner, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Speaking to the media, Sanjay Raut, the spokesperson said, “The new government is in place with BJP and NDA getting a majority of 352 seats to form the government. That is why construction of the Ram Temple needs to be completed.”
He added, “Since 1992, Ram Temple issue has been raised in many polls. BJP had yet again raised the temple issue in 2014 elections and now this time too after raising the issue, if they failed to construct the temple then people will lose faith in us.”
Sanjay Raut, tweeted, “I feel this time around Ram Temple’s construction will start because if we don't, the country will stop trusting us. Now BJP has 303 MPs, Shiv Sena has 18, NDA has more than 350, what more is needed to construct the temple?”
