Mumbai: Mumbaikars should brace for heavy showers that are likely to stay for the next few of days. Monsoon is expected to move towards north-west and reach Porbander, Rajkot, Udaipur and Ajmer in the next two days.
On Sunday, while Colaba received 85.1 mm rain, Santacruz was restricted to 78.4 mm in the last 24 hours. The weather bureau has predicted heavy showers for the next 48 hours in select pockets of the city.
Director of Indian Meteorology Department, K S Hosalikar said, “The offshore trough which maintains the low pressure belt holding the monsoon continues to stay and there will be rain in the city.
“The traffic in the city on Sunday was smoothly moving apart from a few disruptions at Hindmata.
