Mumbai : First it was the derailment which held up pilgrims heading to Konkan for the Ganesh festival, but on Tuesday they were stuck once again with trains  running with a delay of about five to six hours. Not only where the trains delayed but the commuters were stuck in the train for hours as the KR .had to take an emergency block to carry out the repair work at Karanjwadi station.

Heavy rains slashed away the mud underneath the tracks which were newly laid on Sunday after the seven wagons had derailed. The KR on Tuesday had to take an emergency block on the same stretch to repair the tracks and lay the sleepers once again.
