Mumbai: Sonu Nigam’s eye is all swollen up. No, he did not have a skirmish in a dark lane. It was an allergic reaction to sea food, a day ahead of his concert trip to Jeypore in Odisha. In his post, the singer has written that he had to be rushed to Nanavati Hospital after suffering an acute bout of sea food allergy.
Nigam said he had difficulty in breathing and the photos reveal that his left eye is indeed bigger than usual. Making it all sound rather grim, he added that his condition would have been even more alarming had there been no hospital around for immediate medical assistance.
However, he recovered well in time for his performance in Jeypore and thanked his fans for the well wishes. The wishes came with advice: Lesson for all of us, never take a chance with allergies.
