MUMBAI: A public interest litigation filed by the Aam Aadmi Party leaders Anjali Damania and Mayank Gandhi regarding the irrigation projects in Maharashtra was Wednesday admitted by the Bombay High Court, said a press release from the party. The court observed that there were grave irregularities in irrigation projects and rejected the respondents’ demand to dispose of the petition merely because the Chitale Committee has gone into similar issues or because the government claimed to be in the process of taking action, said the release. The court demanded to know what action had been taken so far, the release said. The matter has now been kept for interim relief on October 13, stated the release.
