Mumbai : President of Guyana Donald Rabindranauth Ramotar was accorded a warm reception by Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao at Raj Bhavan on Sunday. The Guyanese President was accompanied by his wife Deolatchmee and a high level ministerial delegation.
President Ramotar was presented the Pravasi Bhartiya Sanman for his contribution to strengthening ties between Guyana and India yesterday.
The Governor later hosted a banquet in honour of the visiting President and his delegation. Wife of the Governor Vinodha, Maharashtra’s Minister for Industries Subhash Desai, Minister for Housing, Mining and Labour Prakash Mehta and filmstar Abhishek Bachchan were prominent among those present on the occasion.
