Mumbai : The admission procedure for the first-year undergraduate courses in city colleges affiliated to the University of Mumbai will start from Wednesday (May 27), university officials said. The university had informed the principals of all arts, science, commerce and law colleges of the same.
Coincidently, on the same day, the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education is scheduled to declare the HSC results.
Officials said the admission process for more than 4.5 lakh vacancies in various undergraduate courses is a complicated and time-taking procedure. Last year, the total intake capacity was 4,55,265 seats in various streams, such as arts, science, commerce, technology, law and fine art.
The admissions for the undergraduate courses through online and offline processes will be run simultaneously. As per the schedule, the sale of the admission forms will start on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the submission of pre-admission online enrolment forms will start from May 28 and continue to June 11, 2015 on working days. The submission of admission forms along with a printed copy of pre-enrolment forms will be from June 11 to June 16 on working days.
