Mumbai: The feud reportedly began on Thursday after Sachin More, who ran a mango stall in Vishnu Nagar in Thane West was driven out from his spot by BJP workers with the help of Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) officials, reason being the stall was illegal and encroaching the public space. He is selling mangoes for last three years now.

Taking up this issue MNS supporters brought the Marathi / Non Marathi topic to the light resulting in an ugly fight between both the party workers.

As soon as the stall clearing started MNS workers reached there in support of More. They refuted the BJP’s allegations and said that More had been putting up the stall for three years. The Raj Thackeray-led party then went on to accuse the ruling party of being anti-farmer.

In addition, the MNS has also alleged that the party did not touch another stall that is located right opposite More’s only because its owner was a non-Marathi. Along with being anti farmer the BJP workers are anti Marathi too, supposed the MNS workers.

On asking the TMC officials, they said, they took the action because they received a complaint.

Getting even, MNS workers have since begun threatening non Marathi stall owners since then. However, the BJP party workers cleared their stand by saying that they are not against Marathi people, they are just against the wrong doings and therefore they got the stall removed.
