An auto-driver from Mumbai scored 51 per cent in Maharashtra Class 12 exam. The Maharashtra HSC results 2019 were declared yesterday (May 29) by Maharashtra State Board for Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (MSBSHSE).
Sharif Khan, who hails from Mulund area of Mumbai, appeared for the exam from Commerce stream. He dropped out of school in 1991 when he was studying in class 8. He resumed his studies in 2017. He had also scored 51.20 per cent in his class 10th board exam.
Khan belongs from Pratapgad in Uttar Pradesh and wants continue further studies and pursue BCom. “I had studied in Hindi medium and struggled to write my exams in English. I would like to pursue BCom and will try to enroll in a night college,” he was quoted as Hindustan Times as saying.
Meanwhile, Girls outperformed boys in Maharashtra HSC results. Girls had a pass percentage of 0.25 per cent against 82.40 per cent of boys. The class 12 exam of Maharashtra Board was conducted from 21 February to 20 March, 2019.
