Six years old Seema Paithane of first standard and four years old Lavanya Chavahan of lower KG, were the youngest victims to have fallen prey to the disaster, as they died in their sleep. Both of their mothers are severely injured and are now admitted.“

Both the children were obedient and good in studies and also cheerful at the same time. They were ver y well mannered and used to smile all day,” recalled Shalaka Tulsankar, a teaching staff associated with the school for 15 years. There was a downfall in the attendance since Tuesday morning; the teachers now believe that gradually things will become normal as they are playing their role in motivating the students to get back to normalcy. “Most of the students are in a state of trauma, even if a glass falls down, they would come running to us,” She further stated.

Her sister Jyotsna Bhatade, who is an exstudent of the institution couldn’t survive and her body was taken out from the debris yesterday. Nikita was rescued by the local residents and the school authorities, consider this to be an absolute miracle as her body was carried away by the torrent for about 500 metres from their hut. Following the event the school authorities rushed to the spot and many of them took part in the rescue operations as well.
