Mumbai : After the attention drawn to Shah Rukh Khan’s bungalow in Bandra, following a city-based NGO’s complaint to the BMC and the Chief Minister’s Office about debris strewn on the road from a broken parapet wall of SRK’s house, the debris have been cleared overnight.
As FPJ reported on Friday, in a complaint dated August 6, Watchdog Foundation’s Godfrey Pimenta drew the authorities’ attention to debris lying on the road adjacent to Mannat (SRK’s bungalow), which was causing inconvenience to pedestrians. Taking cognizance of his complaint, the Chief Minister’s office replied that necessary action will be taken.
In his complaint, Pimenta said that this road is the shortest route to Mount Mary church, which will host an annual festival in September and the debris may cause inconvenience to devotees.
Pimenta said, “Residents taking a morning walk at 7 am on Friday noticed that the debris have been cleared but they were there until the previous night, so they have been cleared overnight.”
When FPJ contacted Shah Rukh Khan’s office, the staff refused to comment. BMC officials from the H (West) ward were unavailable for comment.
