Around half a dozen under-age kids looted four shops in an hour and decamped with jewellery and pulses among other items
Palghar : Cops from Tulinj police station were successful in arresting 3 underage children on Friday who were involved in looting 4 grocery stores, last weekend, located on Achole road, Nalasopara East.
According to police officials at Tulinj police station, 2 of them are still on the run and they have been working overtime to trace them. Chillar gang, after the in-famous Chaddi-Banian gang and Dirt gang had surprised all in Vasai taluka and had expressed shock on involvement of such minors in the increasing crime ratio in Nalasopara. According to sources these minors were arrested from Nalasopara itself. These minors had targeted grocery stores in Sankalp Apartments and Sai heights on Achole road and broke the shutter and grill to steal pulses and other items. However, while doing so, they hit a jackpot, when they found jewellery around a lakh in one of the shop which was connected to the owners house, apart from stealing cash of around rupees 13,000.
They ran out of luck, when one of the buildings CCTV captured their images, while they were decamping with the loot. It seems that the increasing prices might have forced the minors to attack grocery stores and not any other jewellery store, as they mostly stole pulses and other eatable items.
