Mumbai : The Congress and NCP have formed a joint committee of leaders to tackle all election related issues and settle any differences that may arise between the two allies. In fact, till these elections, although both parties have been allies, workers from respective parties had not taken efforts to resolve their differences. This is for the first time that such a committee has been set up.
On March 26, leaders of both parties including the Pawars would be present for filing of nomination form of Vishwajeet Kadam. In fact, Ajit Pawar even said, “We will all be working together and will campaign for Vishwajeet. This time both parties are working together with a single aim and shoulder to shoulder, for us to win.” Leaders of both the parties will address a rally together and later the members of this joint committee will meet at night.
Among the various issues, complaints from both the sides will be discussed to be resolved, any leaders or workers not working in adherence with the alliance too will be discussed to avoid any incident of cross voting or bad campaigning.
“Issues like that of Antulay’s rebelling, or anybody working against the alliance will be discussed. We will also be addressing the probable list of candidates for the remaining seats, the action-plan for next few weeks,” said a top Congress leader.
