Mumbai: While condemning criticism of Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan  and MPCC president Manikrao Thakre, the Congress on Tuesday said that it would take up ally NCP’s criticism against its state president and Chief Minister in the co-ordination committee meeting to be held this month.

The party has condemned the criticism of its leaders by the NCP,MaharashtraPradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) spokesman Sachin Sawant said, adding Congress did not need a certificate on how to go about its politics from any party.

“Our patience should not be seen as our weakness,” he warned.  He said the recent war of words was started by Home Minister R R Patil who criticised the Congress at a campaign rally for the municipal council elections. The two parties have had a love-hate relationship all through its alliance. In fact, both parties have been criticising each other over several issues concerning their mutual interests. It’s been an unhappy relationship which totters at times but regains course ultimately.
