Mumbai: Since the past few days, the city has been reporting good air quality levels with air quality index being reported between 0-100 pm 2.5. The researchers from the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR) have stated that if the temperatures and humidity continues to be high, then the air quality levels will continue to be on the same levels. Out of the 10 locations monitored by SAFAR, BKC reported poor air quality levels with 221 pm 2.5. Meanwhile, other nine locations were reported to be witnessing good air quality levels. A senior official from SAFAR said, “The flow of wind patterns is high which is helping in clearing the toxic levels from the atmosphere. Also, the city is witnessing high temperatures between 32 and 34 degree Celsius which is helping in maintaining the air quality levels. Those areas which are not near to the sea shore report poor air quality levels as the flow of wind patterns is very low.”
