Mumbai : Citizen Forum for Sanctity in Education System (CFSES) complained against the Admission Control Committee (Pravesh Niyantran Samiti) to the Chancellor and Governor of Maharashtra Ch Vidyasagar Rao saying that there is hardly any transparency in e-administration across the state.

The state government had introduced e-admission process in various graduate and post-graduate courses including medical admission, to bring transparency in the admission process and save time and efforts of students as well as educational institutes. Experts allege that the process has only led to a lot of difficulties for students in the admission process.

CFSES alleged at least 206 cases of irregularities were found in the medical admission in Nanded. Several students complained to the Admission Control Committee via email and speed post, however, the committee did not take cognisance of it. Earlier, the Supreme Court of India had criticised the state government for faulty admission process for medical education and had directed the government to compensate students.

CFSES alleged Admission Control Committee members are not serious with regard to day-to-day business and it has been affecting the career of the students. It had requested the Chancellor and the Chief Minister in a letter dated November 11, 2015 to take stringent action against the members of Admission Control Committee who failed to deliver justice to the students.
