Mumbai : The city police on Monday filed the charge sheet against corporate lawyer Jahnvi Gadkar, who is accused of mowing down two persons under her luxury car on the Eastern Freeway on June 10 under the influence of alcohol.
The police have filed a 560-page charge sheet before the Kurla Metropolitan Magistrate court against. According to police, the document includes statements of 57 witnesses, apart from the statements of 14 witnesses that were recorded in court. Besides, sources say that cops have made it a watertight case the 35-year-old lawyer.
The charge sheet contains the statements of Gadkar’s friends and doctors, along with her medical reports, reports from RTO, postmortem reports and other forensic reports, besides CCTV footage from hotel and other evidences. Gadkar, who was present in the court today, was granted bail on August 5 by the Sessions Court. She had to execute a cash bail bond of Rs 30,000 and a surety of the same amount. Gadkar was booked by police under Section 304 II for culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
