Mumbai: Looks like the recent collapse of the footover bridge (near CSMT) has got Central Railway officials to take stock of some of the roadover bridges (ROBs). In a short notice, the railway authorities will be seen removing the old structure between Kurla and Matunga and setting up new ones. This work will affect movement of trains from March 16 till 17 and 18.
The dismantling work will be carried out between Matunga and Kurla from 1 am to 4.00am on March 17 and March 18, and will affect slow and fast lines. The plate girders (beam to support construction) of the proposed ROB between Matunga and Kurla will also set-up along side.

Trains leaving from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) at 00.28 am and 00.31 am on March 17 and March 18 will be cancelled. The train leaving from Kurla going towards CSMT at 5.54 am on March 17 and March 18 will be cancelled too. Train from Ambarnath leaving at 10.01 pm on March 17 will be terminated at Thane. On March 16 (Saturday), trains from Kalyan that left at 11.12 pm terminated at Kurla. Three fast passenger trains will be affected on March 17 and 18 like Sainagar Shirdi – CSMT Mumbai fast passenger, Pandharpur – CSMT Mumbai fast passenger, and Mangalore Jn.-CSMT Mumbai Express, and will terminate at Dadar.

Dadar’s FOB to be closed temporarily from March 17
Mumbai: Post inspection, Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) informed that some work needs to be done at Dadar’s Foot Over Bridge (FOB). Keeping this in mind, Western Railway has decided to temporarily close a FOB from March 17. During inspection, it was found that ramp of platform number one and staircase of platform number two and three will have to be closed temporarily. While the staircase will be closed for 13 days (from March 17 to 29), the ramp of platform number one will be closed for 90 days for rebuilding (from March 17 to June 16).
