Mumbai: Chhavi Singal, who scored 96 per cent in the CBSE Class 12 (Science) examination, knows she is among the high scorers in the city but is not sure if she is the topper from Mumbai. Singal is a student of Gopi Birla Memorial School, Walkeshwar.
When the Free Press Journal contacted her, she said, “I have scored 96 per cent but I do not know if I am among the toppers. I am really happy as I had not expected to score such high marks.” Singal wants to pursue engineering and has already cleared the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE).
“I did not attend any coaching class for Class 12 but I studied regularly. I want to become an engineer and I am already preparing for all the entrance tests. My parents and teachers have been very supportive and have helped me constantly,” Singal said. Likewise, Aditi Patil, Bhavyaa Srivastav, Tanya Agarwal and Aniket Das, all students of Poddar School, Mumbai, have scored in the 97% band in their respective streams but have no inkling what is their overall rank.
