CBI Judge, Hearing Fake Encounter Case, Dies Of Heart Attack

Mumbai : Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Judge B H Loya who was hearing the Sohrabuddin Shaikh fake encounter case died of heart attack in Nagpur on early Monday morning.  The case has BJP President Amit Shah as an accused. After Loya’s death, the court will have to appoint a new judge. With this the court will see third judge in less than six months. In June, special CBI Judge J T Utpat was transferred prior to the hearing where he was supposed to pass order on the exemption application filed by Shah’s advocate. On Nov. 10 Loya had granted Shah permanent exemption from being physically present in the court.           -STAFF REPORTER
