Mumbai : Coming out strongly against illegal water connections in the twin-city, officials from the water supply department in the Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation (MBMC) filed an FIR against a local developer for illegally tapping the main pipeline to facilitate a 24×7 free flow water supply to an under construction building in the Goddev village.

However, no arrests have been made so far. Junior Engineer, Yashwantrao Deshmukh, filed a FIR at the Navghar police station against local developer, John Mathew and other office bearers of A J M Construction, for illegally tapping the main line to facilitate a single inch connection to supply water to an under construction building near Kenwood Park on the Ramdev Park Road. “We have sought action under section 511 of the IPC against the culprit.” Deshmukh said.
