Mumbai : Do not be surprised if you see budding advocates in their black & white legal eagle outfits cleaning roads outside the High Court and leading to Nariman Point and CST in south Mumbai this Friday.

Post graduate law students of the Mumbai University, along with hundreds of undergraduate students from dozens of city-based law colleges, have decided to heed Prime Minister’s pitch for cleanliness under the ‘Swachh Bharat’ programme.

As a part of this effort, University of Mumbai’s Department of Law and 25 other law colleges have organized a cleanliness drive and peace rally on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti on October 2.

The day will witness hundreds of law students with brooms and baskets in their hands cleaning the roads in south Mumbai.

Dr Ashok Yende, Head of Department of Law, University of Mumbai, said, ‘‘The rally will start from University of Mumbai, Fort campus, and it will culminate at Azad Maidan near Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus. Many hundreds students are expected to join this event.”

from other faculties can also join.
