Kolhapur: The legacy of Shiv Sena founder, late Bal Thackeray continues, as the president of the party Uddhav Thackeray with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will seek the blessings of Kolhapur goddess Amba Bai. Sunday will mark an auspicious start to the joint poll rally of Sena and the Bharatiya Janata Party. Thereafter, both Thackeray and Fadnavis will hold a joint rally at Tapovan maidan in Kolhapur on Sunday evening.
Preparations are underway on this ground, as workers of both parties are expected in Kolhapur and to ensure nobody is turned away due to large crowds, the organisers have installed 10 big screens in the city’s main square. “This rally will be one of its kind, never before and never in future. Such will be the might of the joint alliance,” said a BJP leader. The BJP is using all its cadre to ensure the two candidates of Sena win from Kolhapur region in these elections. Meanwhile, both the party leaders are also preparing for the inaugural rally of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which will be held on March 28 at Wardha.
