Bhiwandi: In a bizarre incident that took place in Bhiwandi city where Congress candidate Suresh Taware made an allegetion that owing to defeat of opposition party in Lok Sabha election it may be conspiracy’s of performing havan in a car 150 metres away of EVM strongroom. A man identified as Shreekant Pandhire along with two others were performing havan and in a private car.
Shreekant met Mahaveer Jain who is a trustee of President School and soon after the meeting Shreekant left Mahaveer’s cabin and went to his Innova car and performed havan inside the car. The Evms have been stored in the President School situated at Sonale village, Bhiwandi. The CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force), SRPF (State Reserve Police Force) and local police have been deployed in Evms strongroom. The election was held on April 29 in Bhiwandi. The result will be announced on May 23.
Congress workers got the information about it after which, they along with Congress candidate Suresh Taware rushed to the spot and asked about it. Suresh Taware, Congress candidate in Bhiwandi constituency said, “He made an allegation owing to defeat of opposition party, it may be conspiracy of opposition party of performing havan.”. Sanjay Hajare, senior police inspector, Bhiwandi Taluka police station said, “We crossed verified Shreekant background then we found that he often performing pooja path and Havan after sun set and before sunrise anywhere places. His car parked 150 metres from strongroom. Not a single involvement in any political parties”.
