In a tragic incident a man allegedly killed his 40-year-old wife in a fit of rage because the breakfast served to him was a little bit salty. After committing the crime the husband went to the Navghar Police station in Bhayandar (East) and surrendered himself said police on Saturday.
Speaking with FPJ Correspondent Navghar Police station senior police inspector Milind Desai said, "Nilesh Ghagh (46) the accused strangulated his wife Nirmala Ghagh (40) to death at around 9:30 am on Friday after having his breakfast. As of now the story which is coming out is that he took such a drastic step because his wife served him breakfast (Khichdi) which was very salty. He got very angry about this and in a fit of rage by using a long piece of cloth he killed her."
When asked Desai that apart from excess salt was there any other reason that the accused took such a drastic step he said, "After killing his wife the accused came to the Navghar police station in Bhayandar (East) and surrendered himself. He told us that he killed his wife because she served him salty breakfast. Even we were not able to digest the reason behind the killing but as of now the story is that she was killed because of giving excess salt in breakfast to her husband. We are trying to find our other reasons or provocations for the attack. He has been sent to court and court will give him the police custody."
"We have registered the case against the accused Nilesh Ghagh under India Penal Code (IPC) section 302 for murder," concluded Desai.
