Mumbai: In yet another accident involving a BEST bus, an air-conditioned BEST bus collided into another BEST bus which had stopped at a traffic signal near Regal Cinema at 11 am. The BEST bus no.139 after being hit in turn collided with a taxi which was ahead of the bus at the signal.

The incident occurred a few metres away from the administrative head office of the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport. BEST bus no. 139 running from Colaba to CST was halted at the signal when another BEST AC bus no. AS-6 collided with it. The driver of the AC bus, Sachin Khare, along with conductor of the other bus Milind Paste suffered minor injuries due to the collision. They were rushed to St. George hospital and discharged soon after medical aid. The driver of the bus Sachin Khare in his statement alleged that the brakes of the bus failed which caused the collision.  An injury has been ordered to determine the cause of the accident BEST.
