Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has always been in the news for all the wrong reasons. This time around, the Bhai has been approached by the BMC for a cause. The BMC want his organisation, Being Human, to help it revamp the Bhabha Hospital at Bandra.
Khan is in talks with Yeshwant Jadhav, the standing committee chairman. Their first meeting was at Mehboob studios where the two spoke of how Being Human could come to the rescue of the BMC. The actor had been exploring opportunities to help BMC through the corporate social responsibility and had expressed a desire to provide help in health and educational sectors.
He asked the body how he could improve the cleanliness in the civic-run hospitals and how his NGO could make a contribution. Khan had previously extended a helping hand under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan by construction toilets at Aarey.
Jadhav said Salman Khan has expressed a desire to provide electric cycles to students of the BMC schools.
The BMC will reach a decision on talks about education and health programmes next week.
