Mumbai : The State Bank of India has issued a notice to Armstrong Energy Private Ltd, which belongs to jailed NCP leader Chhagan Bhujbal and his family that they should pay up the amount of Rs 6.08 crore that had been borrowed from the bank.
The notice says that the borrowers, who have been named as Samir Bhujbal, Pankaj Bhujbal and Rubberex Industries have failed to repay the amount and hence the authorized officer of the SBI has already taken symbolic possession of the property belonging to them at Nashik.
The notice has also cautioned the general public not to deal with this property since this will be subject to the recovery of the said amount. It has been further said in the notice that if the payment of the amount is not done in the requisite time, the SBI will proceed to sell the property. Bhujbal is already facing an inquiry by the Enforcement Directorate under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act and is currently in Arthur Road Jail.
