Mumbai: Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) of Kandivali and Mazgaon units arrested peddlers and seized 70 kgs of cannabis and pharmaceutical drugs worth `28 lakh in Dahisar and Mazgaon on Friday. ANC Kandivali unit arrest three accused, identified as Laxmi Bhaskar Volandas (40), Sammpurna Gandhi Mistry (40) and Bharat Vijay Shah (369) from Pushpavihar Colony slums near SV road Dahisar (East). The accused operated the supply of drugs from the Sudhir Phadke flyover in Dahisar. In another raid, the ANC Worli unit arrested a peddler, Nagesh Prakash Thakur, (34) and seized drugs, including Alprazolam, 1,260 strips of tablets and Rexo Chlorpheniramjne Malate, syrup Codaine Phosporate (100 ml) 46 bottles costing `9,200. The total seizure of drugs cost `2,61,200. The accused conducted their bussiness from BPT Colony, Mazgaon. A case was registered under relevant sections of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
