Mumbai: By a strange coincidence all the three hubbies of Indrani – both past and present – found themselves being interrogated on Thursday at Khar police station. Peter Mukherjea had been called in the morning while ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna from Kolkata had arrived a little later. But the star appearance was that of Indrani’s first live-in partner Siddhartha Das in the evening. He was ostensibly summoned so that the DNA of Sheena and Mikhail can be matched with his, to determine whether he was indeed their biological father. Das has admitted to having a relationship with Indrani and that the two children — Sheena and her brother Mikhail Bora — were born out of wedlock.

The police are now awaiting the DNA tests and forensic reports of the purported remains of Sheena’s body recovered from Raigad last Friday. Das was also questioned about certain entries in school-going Sheena’s diary, which dates back to 2002-2003. These entries are extremely critical of her mother Indrani, who has been dubbed a ‘witch’ but clearly suggest that she was in touch with Das, her biological father. Das had claimed to the contrary – that he had rung up his daughter just once after they separated.
