accepting bribe
A senior clerk of the VVMC, Sandeep Khaniwadekar, was arrested red handed by the anti-corruption bureau on Tuesday evening while he was accepting bribe of Rs.10,000 from an applicant who wanted to transfer property rights of a plot. Khaniwadekar was arrested from his Kaman division office in Vasai East while accepting the first installment of the total Rs.30,000 bribe amount and further investigations are on. After round of negotiations the amount was decided at Rs.30,000 and the first installment was supposed to be of Rs.10,000.
