4 women of a family killed in Sangli

Mumbai: Four women members of a family were on Saturday killed in Sangli district of western Maharashtra, police said. The deceased were identified as Sushila Irkar (60), her daughter-in-law Sindhubai Irkar (40) and Sindhubai’s daughters Rupali (19) and Rani (16), police said. They were killed in their village in Jat tehsil early today with sharp weapons, police said, adding the motive behind the killings is yet to be established. Further investigation into the case is on, they said.   PTI
