Mumbai: In just five days, after announcing 217 lottery houses located in Sahakar Nagar, Chembur and Kopri Village, Powai more than 5,952 applications have been received till 7.30 pm on Monday, said the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) Mumbai Board official.
The authority expects to receive more application as the last date for home buyers is till April 13 and on April 21 the lottery results will be declared. Out of the 217 lottery houses, 170 houses are reserved for LIG and 47 in the MIG category are being offered to homebuyers. Along with the housing lottery, MHADA has also opened the online registration for 276 shops located in Mumbai and Konkan.
Interested buyers can do the online registration for shops till March 30 by depositing 10 per cent of the shop value in MHADA preferred bank, to participate in the e-auction. The e-auction is scheduled on April 2 at 11am and will continue until 2pm on April 5. Interestingly, after almost a decade, these shops are put on sale by MHADA. The authority last sold the commercial units in 2009, 2012.
