Ujjain: An FIR was registered by Mahila police under Section 498-A and 34 of the IPC against an industrialist and his family members for torturing and harassing a woman as she gave birth to a girl child. The victim also told the police that her in-laws were demanding dowry too.
According to police, Priya (36) of Shivaji Park Colony, was married to Rishu Arora of Chitra Vihar , New Delhi, lodged a complaint against her husband, father in-law Vinod , mother in-law Varsha, two other family members Vinod Koshal and Nisha Koshal for demanding more dowry and harassing and torturing her after the birth of her second girl child. The victim further said that in-laws even threatened her and her parents.
