Ujjain: Villagers demanded shifting the trenching ground from the village Gondiya. Former district BJP (rural) development cell convener Vikramsingh Anjana informed that the trenching ground is causing many diseases in the village and over 71 persons died of inhaling poisonous smoke. According to the villagers, village Brijrajkhedi, Gangedi, Raghopipliya, Chhyan, Karohan, Koklakhedi and other nearby villages are affected by smoke emitting from the ground.
Anjana asked the President and Prime Minister to look into the matter soon. Meanwhile, villager Mangilal (70), died of swine flu on Friday. His death triggered the wave of anger in the villagers, Anjana informed. The villagers have already asked the civic body officials to shift the ground else they will be forced to form committee to shift the trenching ground.
