Ujjain: In-charge of district and PWD minister Sajjan Singh Verma on Thursday distributed loan waiver certificates to farmers in a ceremonial programme organised at Chimanganj Krishi Upaj Mandi. Addressing the farmers the minister said that the government stood by its manifesto and fulfilled its promise. The programme was inaugurated by Verma by lighting lamps with women farmers.
According to details received loan of 6,248 farmers of Ujjain tehsil of Rs 16 crores was waived off. On this occasion certificates and letters of appreciation were given away to the farmers. MLA Ramlal Malviya, Mahesh Parmar, Murli Morwal, zila panchayat head Karan Kumariya, Rajendra Bharti and other public representatives and Congress leaders were present in the programme.
Clubfoot centre inaugurated
Minister Verma inaugurated a treatment centre for clubfoot, at Pushpa Mission hospital on Thursday. On this occasion Dr GN Sharma was also felicitated. MLA Ramlal Malviya, Mahesh Parmar, Rajendra Bharti, Bishop Sebastian Vadkkel, Father Anthony and other public representatives were also present.
‘Niramayam’ health camp inaugurated
Minister Verma also inaugurated ‘Niramayam’ health camp under Ayushman scheme of the central government. Addressing the programme Verma said that treatment up to 5 lakh will be free for below poverty line people and the persons who do not come under the scheme will be given amount for treatment from chief minister assistance fund. The minister instructed doctors to improve health facilities in government hospitals. On this occasion apart from public representatives and leaders, CMHO Dr ML Malviya and staffers were present. The programme was conducted by Dr Sandeep Nadkarni.
