Ujjain: Unhel mandi inspector and in-charge mandi secretary Sanjeevkumar Jain was caught by lokayukta team accepting bribe amount of Rs 12000. According to lokayukt police mandi in-charge Jain demanded a bribe of Rs 15000 for online mandi license approval from Dinesh son of Jagdish Jaiswal, but the matter was settled for Rs 12000 out of which Rs 2000 was to given to the clerk Rajendra Verma. The plaintiff registered a complaint with lokayukt police and on Thursday.
He also provided police an audio clip of Jain demanding the bribe money, following which lokayukt DSP Vedant Sharma, Paraskumar, Dr Manish Utra and other team members arrested him accepting bribe amount Rs 12000 red-handed, the lokayukta police registered a case against Jain under relevant sections of Prevention of Corruption Act.
