Ujjain: District and sessions court convicted two accused of attempting to murder a person. The FIR against them was registered by Bhairvgarh police under Section 307, 307/34 of the IPC. In his verdict the magistrate awarded the sentence of rigorous imprisonment of 10 years with cash penalty of Rs 80,000 each to Rahul Malviya (20) and Arjun Malviya (21), residents of Toldi Mohalla Bhairavgarh.
According to deputy director (prosecution) Dr Saket Vyas, both the accused stabbed the plaintiff Sanjay on November 18, 2017 when he was returning home. The accused left the scene after stabbing him. Injured Sanjay was rushed to the hospital by his friends and later he lodged a police complaint. Public prosecutor RL Mishra pleaded the case on behalf of the government.
