Three person of a family were killed while another person got seriously injured in horrific road accident on Wednesday at Lalghati area of Shajapur. The tragic road accident claimed the lives of husband wife and son on the spot while 4-year-old daughter got critically injured and is grappling for life at a hospital. A pall of gloom descended in Gayatri Nagar when kin of Rajesh Sharma and the residents of the colony got the news about the incident.
According to police Rajesh Sharma who was a tyre trader, set out for Shajapur with his wife Babita, 7-year-old son Akshat and 4-year-old daughter Akshita on his bike to attend a marriage function, they were about to arrive at the destination but a speeding truck coming from the opposite side hit their bike and ran over it.
Rajesh, Babita and Akshat died on the spot while Akshita sustained serious injuries. After the accident the driver lost control over the truck and hit a van (magic) and consequently some passengers of the van got injured. The driver has been arrested and the truck has been seized.
